Chicken Ark - Jun 08

Got our chicken tractor (ark) pretty much finished. Still may want to put some wheels on one end, some handles and some polyurethane on the outside to help protect the wood, but the chickens are moved in and seem to be enjoying it. When the girls return from camp we will probably get about four more juvenile bantams. Possibly Golden Seabrights this time.

I guess it is light enough to push/pull without wheels.

When I'm ready for one myself, I'll be calling the Brown Family to place an order.

Great job!

I ended up adding some 18" nails on each corner for handles. I can walk it by myself, but I've usually got a helper available to grab an end and relocate them. Now grown we've got to move them around each day (night is best) or we get a bare patch in our grass. :)
